About me

Hey there! I'm Jan, a 17-year-old IT student from Kraków with a passion for code, design, and community work. I'm currently studying at Technical College #25, working towards becoming a programmer, and I've been coding since 2019. My journey started with Godot and GDScript, and since then I've explored various languages and technologies.

Right now, I'm focusing on React and JavaScript, but I'm also passionate about UI/UX Design—creating interfaces that look good and feel intuitive. I'm fascinated by AI Agent Development and plan to specialize in building intelligent systems in the future. I love the intersection of technology, design, and user experience.

Beyond coding, I'm deeply involved in community work. I serve as a councilor and chair of the Media Commission at Młodzieżowa Rada Krakowa (Youth Council of Kraków), managing our team's communication and social media. I've also worked as a video editor and producer at beGame.pl for over 2 years, creating promotional content and animations. Recently, I became a User Support Specialist at Zwolnieni z Teorii, where I mentor students through their social projects.

I was the project leader for Rock N' Aid Kraków Underground Festival, a charity concert that earned the Bronze Wolf award. The event featured local rock bands and raised funds for SOS Children's Villages—proving that music and community can create real impact.

Whether it's designing a seamless user interface, debugging tricky code, or organizing a community event, I approach every challenge with curiosity and determination. I'm also a capoeira practitioner of 6 years—discipline, rhythm, and creativity are part of who I am.

Skills

As I mentioned in the <About me> section, my main focus right now is React and JavaScript, along with UI/UX Design. I'm passionate about creating beautiful, user-friendly interfaces and I'm exploring AI Agent Development as a future specialization. I've worked with various languages and technologies over the years—here's a quick rundown of my programming skills:

2+ years of experience with Lua. I first learned Lua about 2.5 years ago, diving into smaller projects and later using it for various scripts. I also worked with the Love2D framework, which was a fun introduction to game development. Oh, and I have a certificate to back it up!

Certificate - Lua

Over a year of experience working with SQL. I started learning SQL back when I joined technical college, and since then, I’ve been practicing it regularly—like, at least 3 hours a week! I’ve got a basic certification to back me up.

Certificate - SQL (Basic)

Right now, I’m diving deep into React with JS. Although I don’t have a certificate yet, I’m working through a crash course, and I’ll be getting certified soon. I’m super excited about what I can build with this tech stack!

I’ve been working with HTML and CSS for over 3 years now—every web project (personal or commercial) uses them. They’re pretty much the building blocks of the web! I don’t have any certifications for them yet, but I feel pretty solid in these technologies.

I'm passionate about UI/UX Design—creating visual identities, interface graphics, and user-friendly layouts. I use tools like Figma, Photoshop, and Canva for design work. I'm also diving into AI Agent Development, exploring MCP servers, API integrations (GPT-4o), and building intelligent systems. It's an exciting field I plan to specialize in!

  • Java - 1+ year of experience

  • C# - 1+ year of experience

  • C++ - 6 months of experience

  • Node.js - less than 6 months of experience

Programming skills are great, but having strong soft skills is just as important when collaborating with others. Here are some of the non-technical skills I bring to the table:

I have two PMI Real-Life-Certificates (Project Management Fundementals & Principles). It’s all about organizing tasks, keeping things on track, and making sure projects run smoothly, whether I’m managing a team or working solo.

I love collaborating with others! I believe great results come from collective effort. I enjoy working with diverse teams and learning from people with different perspectives.

Keeping track of deadlines is a top priority for me. I’m all about planning, prioritizing, and getting things done on time (without the stress)!

I always try to approach problems logically. Whether it’s a tricky bug or a project hurdle, I like to break it down and find the best solution.

I’ve had the opportunity to lead teams in various projects, including organizing events and initiatives. I focus on motivating team members, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that everyone works towards a common goal.

I enjoy tackling challenges head-on. Whether it's a technical issue or a logistical problem, I approach each situation with a positive attitude and a determination to find effective solutions.

I’m actively involved in my community through roles like serving as a counselor at the Młodzieżowa Rada Krakowa (Youth Council of Kraków). This experience has enhanced my communication, organizational, and leadership skills, allowing me to contribute meaningfully to local initiatives.

Work Experience

While my main passion is coding, I've gained valuable experience in video production, social media management, and youth leadership. These roles have taught me collaboration, project management, and creative problem-solving—skills that complement my technical work.
